Information about Your Physiotherapy Visit
What Can You Expect at Your First Visit?
1) Taking Medical History
A discussion about everything that preceded the onset of your issues (injuries, chronic overload, psychological stress, illnesses, developmental disorders, genetic predispositions…)
2) Kinesiological Examination
Examination of the musculoskeletal system by inspection (visual observation) and palpation (manual examination), which is performed in underwear. At the beginning, the patient/client is observed in various static positions (standing, sitting, etc.) and during common movements (walking, bending forward, side bending, etc.).

Manual examination of soft tissues (muscles, ligaments, tendons) and joint structures is also performed. For soft tissues, the presence of increased muscle tension is assessed, which is often the source of pain or other problems. In terms of joints, the range of motion and the presence of joint blockages are diagnostically important.
3) Ergonomic Assessment
Evaluation of working postures and the way everyday work activities are performed.
4) Final Assessment
Clear presentation of the examination results. Identification of the main cause of the problem and joint search for the best solution with respect to the patient’s/client’s possibilities. The result is the setting of a short-term and long-term rehabilitation plan (what to do in the coming days and months).
What Should You Bring to Your First Visit?
- sports underwear
- medical reports related to your issue, X-ray/CT/MRI images (if you have them)
What Happens During Follow-up Visits?
Once the main problem has been identified, we continue (if necessary) with follow-up visits, which most often include manual treatment of soft tissues and kinesiotherapy (exercise).
The exercise can be physically demanding, so please be aware that you may sweat. For optimal correction of body alignment, it is best to exercise in underwear, but exercising in tight-fitting sportswear is also fine.
